British College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM)

The British College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM) is an educational organisation based in London. It was one of the first colleges to offer degree-level and master’s-level study in osteopathy.

Besides its Master in osteopathy and its BS (Hons) Osteopathy the college provides 3 postgraduate paths specialising in Sport Care, Children’s Osteopathy and Humane Nutrition.

Undergraduate Master of Osteopathy

The BCOM’s much-praised four-year  Undergraduate Master of Osteopathy (M.Ost) is validated by the University of Plymouth, BCOM’s partner University, and is fully accredited by the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) with ‘recognised qualification’ status in accordance with the Osteopaths Act 1993.

The course integrates academic, scientifc, anatomical, theoretical, and research knowledge with applied clinical osteopathic and naturopathic skills.

BCOM works in cooperation with the European School of Osteopathy (ESO) which organises the course in Kent. Students can decide to study flexibly between the 2 sites. The two merged institutions are comprised by the BCNO Group, an awarding body.

BSc (Hons) Osteopathy, 4 years modified attendance

The BCOM’s much-praised four-year  BSc(Hons) Osteopathy degree is validated by the University of Plymouth, BCOM’s partner University, and is fully accredited by the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) with ‘recognised qualification’ status in accordance with the Osteopaths Act 1993.

“The BSc(Hons) Osteopathy degree is validated by our partner university, University of Plymouth, and is fully accredited by the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) with ‘recognised qualification’ status in accordance with the Osteopaths Act 1993.

The BSc (Hons) Osteopathy is a four year full-time modified attendance degree combining online learning and face to face teaching for those students who want to combine studying osteopathy with working or family commitments.  This degree is aimed at those who want to change career and are attracted to a hands on, rewarding and flexible profession. Upon successful completion graduates can register with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and obtain a Diploma in Naturopathy with the General Council and Register of Naturopaths (GCRN) and launch straight into a career as a practising osteopath.”
